PCD Dies are used to draw both ferrous and non-ferrous metals at both high and low speeds due to its quality of thermal conductivity which enables it to observer the heat, which generates while drawing, from the die bore and also helps the die to maintain its diameter for a longer time. P.C.D. Blanks are available in different grain sizes i.e. 3 um, 5 um, 25 um, 50 um which Ajex chooses itself according to the customers' demand or their preference. Now a days, wire drawing units are preferring the use of P.C.D. wire drawing dies instead of Natural diamond dies except in some special cases due to life & Re-Boring capacity obtaining from P.C.D. Dies.
PDC DIE :
Polycrystalline is a kind of synthetic material which combines the advantages of perfect surface finish, minimum friction and high wear resistance.

ADDMA
American Diamond Die Manufacturers Association.
Maximum Hole Size for Hard Wire is using a 12
o reduction angle and 30% bearing length. Maximum Hole Size for Soft Wire is using a 24
o reduction angle and 30% bearing length.
This chart is intended only for general guidelines to help you select the appropriate Nib Size for the Die Hole Size required.
Note : D36, D38, and D40 nibs are also available upon request.
